CADENCIA ANDALUZA, was conceived by Carlos Bedoya, whose father was from Spain (La linea de la Concepción, Cádiz) and mother from Puerto Rico (Barranquitas). The show, that has dance, virtuoso instrumentalists, dance and percussion, transmits in a natural way the similarities and influences between the Spanish and Puerto Rican cultures. It offers international visitors a uniquely local experience. This is not a superficial montage for tourists: it is the best the Island has to offer proudly and joyously interpreting their art as they, as artists, believe it should be presented.
.
CADENCIA ANDALUZA
is the first of several shows where Bedoya and Beauchamp re-visit Andalucia the region in Spain that has left and importand heritage in Puerto Rican and universal culture. . The show includes the participation of high caliber artistas such as cantaor de flamenco José Luis Giles (Málaga España), dancers Yvonne, Natalia and Krizia Rivera; and from Puerto Rican Jibaro music: trovador (singer) Tony Mapeyé and cuatro player Modesto Nieves. The cuatro is a Puerto Rican stringed instrument.

CADENCIA ANDALUZA is a product of the investigaion Bedoya and Beauchamp realized for thier producion of ENCUENTRO DE PIES, TAMBORES Y FALDAS, that won the ACE Y HOLA awards , in Nueva York , 2003 and eventually led to Paulette Beauchamp bieng included in Danve Magazines "25 to watch" list, 2004.
